El Patio Restaurant maintains a long tradition started by Paul C. Joseph in 1954 who was one of Austin’s early pioneers in the Mexican food business. His policy “merely to serve the best” is carried on today by his wife, Maryann and their children, David, Roseann, and Renee and their staff who have worked at El Patio for over 25 years.
